Narrative:
After part had been baked, engineer had a fan on both landing gear, force cooling them. We have always been warned not to force cool parts. These parts are baked at 380 degrees F.

Title: A LNDG GEAR SHOP MGR RPTS A SYS ENGINEER PERMITTING FORCED COOLING ON 2 MD80 MAIN GEAR PISTONS AFTER HEAT TREATING.
Narrative: AFTER PART HAD BEEN BAKED, ENGINEER HAD A FAN ON BOTH LNDG GEAR, FORCE COOLING THEM. WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN WARNED NOT TO FORCE COOL PARTS. THESE PARTS ARE BAKED AT 380 DEGS F.
