Narrative:
When ready, I called farmington ground for my IFR clearance and taxi clearance. He cleared me to taxi on taxiway a to runway 25. On the taxi, he came back with the clearance which he read, I copied and readback to him. While I was doing this, I crossed the hold line for runway 25. It was several hundred feet back to the west of the actual end of runway 25, and I was looking or expecting the hold line to be perpendicular to the runway about 35 ft from the edge as it is in most airports. No aircraft had to divert or go around but a cessna on base was told by the tower to do a 360 degree turn to allow the king air to depart, at which time tower gave me my takeoff clearance and I departed. Tower personnel did ask if I knew what a hold line looked like. I apologized and offered to taxi on runway 25 back to taxiway A2 and back around, but was told no. The cessna did the 360 degree turn and I departed.

Title: WHILE TRYING TO TAXI HIS ACFT, COPY A CLRNC AND READ IT BACK, PLT OF BE-9T CROSSES HOLD SHORT LINE OF RWY 25 AT FMN ON TXWY A.
Narrative: WHEN READY, I CALLED FARMINGTON GND FOR MY IFR CLRNC AND TAXI CLRNC. HE CLRED ME TO TAXI ON TXWY A TO RWY 25. ON THE TAXI, HE CAME BACK WITH THE CLRNC WHICH HE READ, I COPIED AND READBACK TO HIM. WHILE I WAS DOING THIS, I CROSSED THE HOLD LINE FOR RWY 25. IT WAS SEVERAL HUNDRED FEET BACK TO THE W OF THE ACTUAL END OF RWY 25, AND I WAS LOOKING OR EXPECTING THE HOLD LINE TO BE PERPENDICULAR TO THE RWY ABOUT 35 FT FROM THE EDGE AS IT IS IN MOST ARPTS. NO ACFT HAD TO DIVERT OR GO AROUND BUT A CESSNA ON BASE WAS TOLD BY THE TWR TO DO A 360 DEG TURN TO ALLOW THE KING AIR TO DEPART, AT WHICH TIME TWR GAVE ME MY TKOF CLRNC AND I DEPARTED. TWR PERSONNEL DID ASK IF I KNEW WHAT A HOLD LINE LOOKED LIKE. I APOLOGIZED AND OFFERED TO TAXI ON RWY 25 BACK TO TXWY A2 AND BACK AROUND, BUT WAS TOLD NO. THE CESSNA DID THE 360 DEG TURN AND I DEPARTED.
