Narrative:
We requested descent from ZHU and received clearance to descend from FL390 to FL240. Called out of FL390 for FL240. At about FL385 center called for an immediate left turn 30 degrees and climb to FL390. I disconnected the autoplt for more rapid turn then received TCASII RA which we then followed. Air carrier Y aircraft passed to our right and below at FL370. Radio traffic was extremely light.
