Narrative:
Cleared for takeoff on runway 9, all checklists complete. First officer set thrust and called thrust set. At approximately 70 KTS, 2 large deer ran in front of the aircraft from the left. The first deer made it just past the nose and the second deer did not. The aircraft struck both deer with left and right wings and flaps. We aborted the takeoff and called tower with an explanation for the abort. Once clear of the runway, the first officer called the flight attendant and explained why we aborted. We taxied back to the gate and notified company. The flight attendant and all passenger were unharmed. The deer did not survive. The aircraft was damaged on the left wing leading edge, left gear door and strut, left flap, left flap fairings and right flap fairings.
