Narrative:

Taxi out; just pushed back bn taxi line. Aircraft line up there (and taxiway cs) for deice. We did not need to deice. Ramp control cleared us to cs taxi line to get out of deice lineup. Ramp asked if we had enough room to taxi from bn to cs. There was a company B757 in front of us and an A319 abeam and slightly in front of us on cs. When asked; we had plenty of clearance either side to safely taxi from bn to cs. I estimate 40-50 ft clearance on the right side and captain estimates at least 30 ft on the left side. We turned approximately 40 degrees to the left to transition to cs. We had plenty clearance when he started to move forward. We were just ahead of him at the time. He taxied 10-20 ft forward then stopped. When I noticed him moving; I told the captain. We were going slow and elected not to stop as the ramp was icy. At the time we still had clearance. By the time I stated that he was taxiing forward; he had started to stop. We had clearance from ramp tower to transition from bn to cs and clearance on either side of the 2 airplanes. We assumed the 2 ramp towers were talking to each other. In this case a bad assumption. But I feel in no way was safety ever compromised.

Title: AN A319 FLT CREW HAD A CONFLICT WITH ANOTHER A319 DURING TAXI.

Narrative: TAXI OUT; JUST PUSHED BACK BN TAXI LINE. ACFT LINE UP THERE (AND TXWY CS) FOR DEICE. WE DID NOT NEED TO DEICE. RAMP CTL CLRED US TO CS TAXI LINE TO GET OUT OF DEICE LINEUP. RAMP ASKED IF WE HAD ENOUGH ROOM TO TAXI FROM BN TO CS. THERE WAS A COMPANY B757 IN FRONT OF US AND AN A319 ABEAM AND SLIGHTLY IN FRONT OF US ON CS. WHEN ASKED; WE HAD PLENTY OF CLRNC EITHER SIDE TO SAFELY TAXI FROM BN TO CS. I ESTIMATE 40-50 FT CLRNC ON THE R SIDE AND CAPT ESTIMATES AT LEAST 30 FT ON THE L SIDE. WE TURNED APPROX 40 DEGS TO THE L TO TRANSITION TO CS. WE HAD PLENTY CLRNC WHEN HE STARTED TO MOVE FORWARD. WE WERE JUST AHEAD OF HIM AT THE TIME. HE TAXIED 10-20 FT FORWARD THEN STOPPED. WHEN I NOTICED HIM MOVING; I TOLD THE CAPT. WE WERE GOING SLOW AND ELECTED NOT TO STOP AS THE RAMP WAS ICY. AT THE TIME WE STILL HAD CLRNC. BY THE TIME I STATED THAT HE WAS TAXIING FORWARD; HE HAD STARTED TO STOP. WE HAD CLRNC FROM RAMP TWR TO TRANSITION FROM BN TO CS AND CLRNC ON EITHER SIDE OF THE 2 AIRPLANES. WE ASSUMED THE 2 RAMP TWRS WERE TALKING TO EACH OTHER. IN THIS CASE A BAD ASSUMPTION. BUT I FEEL IN NO WAY WAS SAFETY EVER COMPROMISED.
