Narrative:
Reattached scat tubing with non-aircraft hose clamp. In-flight fire started and passenger jumped out on ground roll. Later learned that the tubing and clamp had not caused the fire. Hole in exhaust caused brake fluid to burn. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated the flexible 'scat' type brake line is routed down along the fwd side of the firewall to the parking brake and down to the brakes. He was informed by maintenance that the hole in the engine exhaust pipe had blown hot exhaust onto the flex line; eventually burning through the brake line and causing the brake fluid to catch fire.
