Narrative:

Climbing out of 8000 ft from ZZZ; the flight attendant reported smoke coming from the floor units along the aisle of the passenger compartment. Oxygen masks were donned and memory items executed. The captain declared an emergency with ATC while I continued to fly the airplane. ZZZ departure began giving vectors and a descent to return to ZZZ. The captain delegated communication #1 to me; allowing him to contact ZZZ operations and the company to notify them of our situation. Appropriate checklists were conducted. ATC vectored us for an ILS to runway xxr. WX at the field was overcast at 400 ft and 5 SM visibility. Upon landing; the aircraft was evacuated using standard emergency evacuate/evacuation procedures. I assisted passenger while the captain and flight attendant secured the aircraft. No injuries.

WX AT THE FIELD WAS OVCST AT 400 FT AND 5 SM VISIBILITY. UPON LNDG; THE ACFT WAS EVACUATED USING STANDARD EMER EVAC PROCS. I ASSISTED PAX WHILE THE CAPT AND FLT ATTENDANT SECURED THE ACFT. NO INJURIES.
