Narrative:

While in ops reviewing the log history; I saw a previous write-up regarding the rudder trim being inop. As I was doing my cockpit setup; I cycled the rudder trim in both directions for at least 5 units several times with no malfunctions. During climbout; I saw that the control wheel was slightly displaced and attempted to neutralize the aileron displacement with the rudder trim. After several inputs; I suspected that the rudder trim was not moving. I pulled up the status page and attempted to move the rudder trim once again. There was no displacement on the status page and the rudder trim indicator did not move with any input. We verified that the rudder trim circuit breaker's were in by lightly pushing on them. About 10 seconds later; I attempted to move the rudder trim once again; and this time it worked just fine. An info only code was sent to maintenance. The rudder trim worked fine for the remainder of the flight. Once at the gate; I attempted to move the rudder trim and it was intermittent.
