Narrative:

We got a TCAS to descend. Co-pilot said he had the aircraft in sight between the clouds. I elected to follow the TCAS to descend. It was a second aircraft that we missed by 400 ft. In the decent; I got the airspeed up to 265 KTS below 10;000 ft. Always follow the TCAS; that's what it is there for. A visual; even on approach to runways; could mean a second aircraft like in our case.
