Narrative:
On takeoff roll (first officer flying) master caution light came on indicating pressurization problem, climbing through 2500' aircraft not pressurizing. I assumed flying and directed first officer to trouble shoot system. Simultaneously departure control issued a left turn to 150 degrees and climb to (I thought) 15000' and I believe that was my readback. At this time we had restored pressurization and were attempting to get the #2 pack on line. Leaving approximately 9000' departure handed us off to bos center. First officer called 10000' and I said no, we were cleared to 15000'. I did not reset MCP altitude. We had a wrong frequency for bos and switched back to bdl, altitude now 11500'. Bdl said we should be at 10000' and issued the correct frequency. I started back to 10000' as we contacted bos center. We advised bos we were descending back to 10000' he reclred us to 15000' and said no problem. Once again this points out the need to fly first then fix, at the same time listen closely. (I still believe I read back 15000'.)

Title: ON DEPARTURE ACFT CLIMBED THROUGH CLEARED ALT.
Narrative: ON TKOF ROLL (F/O FLYING) MASTER CAUTION LIGHT CAME ON INDICATING PRESSURIZATION PROB, CLBING THROUGH 2500' ACFT NOT PRESSURIZING. I ASSUMED FLYING AND DIRECTED F/O TO TROUBLE SHOOT SYS. SIMULTANEOUSLY DEP CTL ISSUED A LEFT TURN TO 150 DEGS AND CLB TO (I THOUGHT) 15000' AND I BELIEVE THAT WAS MY READBACK. AT THIS TIME WE HAD RESTORED PRESSURIZATION AND WERE ATTEMPTING TO GET THE #2 PACK ON LINE. LEAVING APPROX 9000' DEP HANDED US OFF TO BOS CENTER. F/O CALLED 10000' AND I SAID NO, WE WERE CLRED TO 15000'. I DID NOT RESET MCP ALT. WE HAD A WRONG FREQ FOR BOS AND SWITCHED BACK TO BDL, ALT NOW 11500'. BDL SAID WE SHOULD BE AT 10000' AND ISSUED THE CORRECT FREQ. I STARTED BACK TO 10000' AS WE CONTACTED BOS CENTER. WE ADVISED BOS WE WERE DSNDING BACK TO 10000' HE RECLRED US TO 15000' AND SAID NO PROB. ONCE AGAIN THIS POINTS OUT THE NEED TO FLY FIRST THEN FIX, AT THE SAME TIME LISTEN CLOSELY. (I STILL BELIEVE I READ BACK 15000'.)
