Narrative:
On scy 3 arrival to dfw, at refil intersection at 11000 ft MSL, we were in mixed WX (in and out of clouds). We had just passed by a heavy line of thunderstorms off our left and departure traffic was obviously being vectored to miss the same line. We had already received 2 TA's by TCASII. Aircraft climbing and turning, passing 1000 ft below us heading northeast. With first officer flying, we received a RA 'climb, climb.' I advised the first officer to climb immediately and cleared the airspace above. The first officer disconnected the autoplt and climbed approximately 1000 ft when we received 'clear of conflict.' the first officer then descended back toward 11000 ft as I attempted to contact a very busy approach control to advise them. The first officer overshot 11000 ft by 200 ft to 10800 ft as I talked to approach and told them we were returning to 11000 ft. Approached advised us they showed us at 10800 ft. We finally stabilized at 11000 ft with no further incident.

Narrative: ON SCY 3 ARR TO DFW, AT REFIL INTXN AT 11000 FT MSL, WE WERE IN MIXED WX (IN AND OUT OF CLOUDS). WE HAD JUST PASSED BY A HVY LINE OF TSTMS OFF OUR L AND DEP TFC WAS OBVIOUSLY BEING VECTORED TO MISS THE SAME LINE. WE HAD ALREADY RECEIVED 2 TA'S BY TCASII. ACFT CLBING AND TURNING, PASSING 1000 FT BELOW US HDG NE. WITH FO FLYING, WE RECEIVED A RA 'CLB, CLB.' I ADVISED THE FO TO CLB IMMEDIATELY AND CLRED THE AIRSPACE ABOVE. THE FO DISCONNECTED THE AUTOPLT AND CLBED APPROX 1000 FT WHEN WE RECEIVED 'CLR OF CONFLICT.' THE FO THEN DSNDED BACK TOWARD 11000 FT AS I ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT A VERY BUSY APCH CTL TO ADVISE THEM. THE FO OVERSHOT 11000 FT BY 200 FT TO 10800 FT AS I TALKED TO APCH AND TOLD THEM WE WERE RETURNING TO 11000 FT. APCHED ADVISED US THEY SHOWED US AT 10800 FT. WE FINALLY STABILIZED AT 11000 FT WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENT.
