Narrative:
New procedures regarding maintenance write-ups have been implemented which are still ambiguous. As a captain, I flew aircraft X for 7 legs after being quick swapped out of aircraft Y (because pressurization inoperative) prior to the 1ST leg. I was the 2ND captain to fly that plane on aug/xx/94 and the abbreviated checklist was utilized since the 1ST crew is supposed to do the expanded checklist. On oct/xx/94 I flew aircraft X for 1 leg returning to pit and was swapped out of aircraft X. Later in the day, I was informed that maintenance had failed to properly sign-off a write-up for low oxygen (passenger cabin) 3 days prior to when I flew it. Subsequent pages attesting to maintenance compliance with airworthiness directives had been met and were properly signed. I have not been able to determine exactly how many days had elapsed and how many crews (suspect 2) have flown this plane prior to me since the maintenance logbook was replaced and the one affecting me was sent to the corporation offices.

Narrative: NEW PROCS REGARDING MAINT WRITE-UPS HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED WHICH ARE STILL AMBIGUOUS. AS A CAPT, I FLEW ACFT X FOR 7 LEGS AFTER BEING QUICK SWAPPED OUT OF ACFT Y (BECAUSE PRESSURIZATION INOP) PRIOR TO THE 1ST LEG. ON OCT/XX/94 I FLEW ACFT X FOR 1 LEG RETURNING TO PIT AND WAS SWAPPED OUT OF ACFT X. LATER IN THE DAY, I WAS INFORMED THAT MAINT HAD FAILED TO PROPERLY SIGN-OFF A WRITE-UP FOR LOW OXYGEN (PAX CABIN) 3 DAYS PRIOR TO WHEN I FLEW IT. SUBSEQUENT PAGES ATTESTING TO MAINT COMPLIANCE WITH AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES HAD BEEN MET AND WERE PROPERLY SIGNED. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DETERMINE EXACTLY HOW MANY DAYS HAD ELAPSED AND HOW MANY CREWS (SUSPECT 2) HAVE FLOWN THIS PLANE PRIOR TO ME SINCE THE MAINT LOGBOOK WAS REPLACED AND THE ONE AFFECTING ME WAS SENT TO THE CORPORATION OFFICES.
