Narrative:

I was flying, first officer, speed approximately 300 KIAS, 11000 ft. Cleared to 5000 ft. Speed reduction not initiated until approximately 9000 ft. Situation compounded by change in clearance and 125 KT plus tailwind. Immediately slowed to 250 KTS before additional descent. ATC did not comment on the speed probably because of our already high ground speed.
