Narrative:
Erj came over qball arrival fix from ZKC. Received another 2 handoffs from same sector. Erj showing very slow and 2 trailing aircraft about 120 KTS faster. Asked erj his speed. He replied 190 KTS. Aircraft was at 15000 ft MSL! I asked if ZKC slowed him. He said 'no; picking it back up.' I slowed the 2 trailing aircraft to 250 KTS and descended the erj. I again asked him his speed. He said 215 KTS. I told him to pick his speed up to at least 250 KTS and to let us know next time he slowed that much. I then had to step the trailing aircraft down because the erj wasn't descending but about 200 FPM. I told him to expedite descent. This all greatly increased my workload requiring numerous pointouts due to inability to stay in my own airspace because of erj's drastic speed reduction and very slow descent.

Title: T75 CTLR REPORTS ON ACR'S UNEXPECTED SPD REDUCTION AND SLOW DSCNT REQUIRING ADDITIONAL CTLR WORKLOAD TO MAINTAIN SEPARATION.
Narrative: ERJ CAME OVER QBALL ARR FIX FROM ZKC. RECEIVED ANOTHER 2 HDOFS FROM SAME SECTOR. ERJ SHOWING VERY SLOW AND 2 TRAILING ACFT ABOUT 120 KTS FASTER. ASKED ERJ HIS SPD. HE REPLIED 190 KTS. ACFT WAS AT 15000 FT MSL! I ASKED IF ZKC SLOWED HIM. HE SAID 'NO; PICKING IT BACK UP.' I SLOWED THE 2 TRAILING ACFT TO 250 KTS AND DSNDED THE ERJ. I AGAIN ASKED HIM HIS SPD. HE SAID 215 KTS. I TOLD HIM TO PICK HIS SPD UP TO AT LEAST 250 KTS AND TO LET US KNOW NEXT TIME HE SLOWED THAT MUCH. I THEN HAD TO STEP THE TRAILING ACFT DOWN BECAUSE THE ERJ WASN'T DSNDING BUT ABOUT 200 FPM. I TOLD HIM TO EXPEDITE DSCNT. THIS ALL GREATLY INCREASED MY WORKLOAD REQUIRING NUMEROUS POINTOUTS DUE TO INABILITY TO STAY IN MY OWN AIRSPACE BECAUSE OF ERJ'S DRASTIC SPD REDUCTION AND VERY SLOW DSCNT.
