Narrative:
Left hydraulic quantity loss/diversion to lhr. Shortly after leveling at FL310 over the english channel, we noted left hydraulic quantity message. We followed checklist procedure and diverted to lhr. We declared an emergency, requested crash fire rescue equipment, and made an overweight landing on runway 27R lhr.
