Narrative:
During pushback, ATC advised not to block taxiway. This information was not passed to the push crew. We unintentionally blocked taxiway. Contributing factor was crew coordination in handling a reduced generator load capability procedure. This was simply a control deviation, not an aircraft accident.

Title: B727 CREW PUSHED BACK ONTO A TXWY THEY WERE TOLD TO REMAIN CLR OF.
Narrative: DURING PUSHBACK, ATC ADVISED NOT TO BLOCK TXWY. THIS INFO WAS NOT PASSED TO THE PUSH CREW. WE UNINTENTIONALLY BLOCKED TXWY. CONTRIBUTING FACTOR WAS CREW COORD IN HANDLING A REDUCED GENERATOR LOAD CAPABILITY PROC. THIS WAS SIMPLY A CTL DEV, NOT AN ACFT ACCIDENT.
