Narrative:
While established on a 070 degree heading, per the summa-6 SID, departure control asked us 'what is your direction of flight?' we replied that we were flying the summa-6. Departure then stated that he had cleared us 'right turn, direct summa' about 12 mi ago. We did not receive nor acknowledge such clearance. As far as I know, no loss of separation occurred.
