Narrative:
The airspace violation was due to the new mace routings and airspace and our complete lack of training. I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. I have years of radar experience and my d-side was also a cpc and we both missed the pointout. The day before this event the same airspace would have been ours. We never had even simulated training with these types of overflts and we never had training on runway 3's at detroit; which would have changed the outcome of the violation. I feel like the FAA has failed us by not giving us sufficient; or any; training with completely new airspace; routes; and procedures.
