Narrative:
On my arrival to brown field on 11/xx/91, the customs agent asked for my pilot's license and medical certificate. I reached for the satchel that carries these documents and for the first time realized that I did not have them. I explained to the customs agent that I presented the original documents to other agents at brown field on nov xx, xth, xth, and xth on previous trip to baja, ca, just days before. I also presented to him xerox copies of my pilot's license and medical certificates that I use to clear mexican customs and immigration. I use copies in mexico in case I lose one of the originals while in the process of entering the country. This is the first time I failed to produce the originals of my pilot's license and medical certificate in the many yrs I have been traveling to mexico. I was unaware that I did not have my pilot's license and medical certificate in my possession. I did not intentionally fly or try to enter the country without the proper documents. I will never fly or enter the country without having my pilot's license and medical certificate in my possession.
