Location: ukw VOR 283 degree radial 50 DME. First officer flying bowie 1 arrival to dfw. Had a crossing restr at kajay intersection at FL240. I allowed unnecessary distraction to allow us to cross kajay approximately 1500 ft high. No comment from center and no conflict shown on TCASII.
