Narrative:
While being vectored departing memphis, about the time we were handed off to center we had an engine failure. We had no fire or suspected engine damage, so an immediate landing was not required nor deemed safest with WX at nashville (our filed destination) and louisville (our second declared alternate due to memphis's low WX and being our first alternate) both having well above minimums WX and also both showing a stable or improving WX pattern. En route we communicated with company dispatch and maintenance, as well as advised ATC and requested crash fire rescue equipment.
